Julie Anne will teach basic ball and shuttle techniques and pattern reading skills to make simple edging, snowflakes and heart medallions. Come create special hand spun yarns. These classes will include wheel operation and maintenance, fiber preparation, worsted and woolen spinning as well as two different plying techniques. Diameter Control Spinning with Sharon Dalrymple
Have you been spinning for while and now discover that you can't consistently make yarn thicker or thinner than your "default" yarn? You know, the size of yarn you always spin? In this class be ready for a BIG "AHA" moment! Sharon will show you how by just adjusting the size of your pulley (whorl) and tension in varying degrees, you can control the diameter of your yarn.
